Since it's founding by Doris Meadow over 40 years ago, Doris's Resale has remained a fixture in New Haven's Westville neighborhood. It's first home was on Whalley Avenue, and it soon moved to a location over a local podiatry office on nearby Blake Street in 1985.
Now with it's second owner, Doris's Resale is known for its friendly and helpful staff and welcoming atmosphere. As the New Haven area's oldest consignment shop, we are proud of our reputation for honesty and professionalism.

When my item sells, how much will I receive?
The consignor receives 50% of the sales price.
Who sets the price of an item?
Doris's Resale sets the price of an item, sometimes in consultation with the items owner.
What happens if my item does not sell?
If your item does not sell by the end of the season and it is not picked-up by the consignor, it is donated.

FAQ
Items accepted for consignment must be in style (2 to 3 years old), cleaned & pressed, and on hangers. Consignment items must also be in-season. We do not accept bridal or bridesmaids' gowns.
